If you are the do it yourself kind of bride and you just
spent all your money on the band, the photographer and your dress and you don’t
know what to do at your reception, try one or all of these easy and affordable ideas:
Candles are my favorite decorating tool. Nothing makes a room look more inviting
and warm then candlelight. Buy tons of different size and height candles and
fill your tables with them. For an extra pop place a mirror on the
table and then place the candles on top of the mirror. The warm glow and sparkle
from the candles will put everyone in a beautiful light for photography.
Love flowers and got to have them – fill different size
vases with water and float 1 flower in each vase. Alternate your vases by using both floating candles and
flowers. Choose different shapes
and heights for more drama.
Chairs are the first thing your eye sees when you step into your
reception room. If the banquet chairs at your venue are ugly, worn out or just
don’t fit your dream then either change them by renting chairs or cover them
with chair covers.
