3 “Must Do” Wedding Trends

When beginning to plan your wedding think about the party or reception that you want to have.  Do you want an intimate dinner where your guests remain seated dining on fabulous food? Or are you the kind of person that enjoys trying a lot of different foods and prefers a lively party with guests primarily on the dance floor?

If you chose the 2nd option then you may want to consider serving small bites, tray passed and fork friendly food to your guests. Personally I am a huge fan of this current trend that seems to have sprouted wings over the last few years.  This kind of option not only allows your guests to enjoy a huge array of foods it also sets the stage for great casual conversation.

Since the increase in Social Media and texting our attention spans have become used to short brief spurts of information on a continual basis. Playing just sound bites or the “chorus” of popular songs is another big trend at weddings and a surefire way of keeping your dance floor packed.

Lounge seating has definitely taken over in the wedding industry. Tables are almost a thing of the past. Your guests may prefer socializing in small intimate spaces. If you have a large array of ages a great way to accommodate their different needs would be to mix your lounges with cocktail tables allowing for an interesting  look as well as accommodating your older guests who may enjoy sitting at a table. This kind of seating option lends itself well to a menu of small bites.
