Let’s face it Tzedekah is a huge part of the Jewish
experience and it is something we should be modeling to our children. So why is it that when the Bar Mitzvah
is required to have a Mitzvah project as part of his/her experience do we begin
to feel a bit sick inside and break out in a cold sweat? As a mother of two living in a city
like LA where everything requires a car, being required to add one more thing
to the already large “to do” list can send anyone into overload. However, giving back is the backbone of
our religion and incorporating it into your child’s experience can be easy and
very rewarding.
Let me help you get started. Contact any one of these 3 organizations for help and ideas
to make this part of the process meaningful:

with a child from the Holocaust through: Remember
